Strabismus Surgery Course
The strabismus surgery course at the Kabgayi Learning Simulation Centre (KLASc) is a specialized, skills-focused training program designed to equip ophthalmologists with the knowledge and surgical techniques required to manage ocular misalignment in both children and adults. The course blends simulation-based learning with expert clinical guidance, ensuring participants gain hands-on experience in a safe and structured environment.
Trainees learn the principles of strabismus assessment, surgical planning, and step-by-step performance of common strabismus procedures.

Through guided practice on simulation models, participants develop precision in muscle isolation, recession and resection techniques, suturing, and intraoperative decision-making.
